Summary: digiSTEP sought to strengthen the digital competences of higher education teachers so that they could teach topics related to sustainable development more effectively, inclusively and in ways compatible with online and distance learning contexts. The project was based on the recognition that it is not enough to have content on sustainability: institutions and teachers must also know how to teach it well in digital formats. Its main result was the development of a Sustainable Development E-learning course, accompanied by resources and institutional capacities that help universities offer online teaching on sustainability with greater pedagogical consistency and comparability with face-to-face provision.
